Sam Paganini

Already from an early age Sam (Samuel) Paganini became highly skilful at playing the drums,
the guitar and the piano. From the age of 15 Sam played for various local rock bands and concurrently gained extensive experience as a DJ in clubs in the Veneto area, concentrating on new and alternative music rather than the mainstream. Whilst working as a DJ, Sam developed an interest for electronic music and for technical recording. As a result of this, he was contacted from ‘Media Records’ in 1993 after the boss and a young Mauro Picotto had become interested in one of Sam’s demos. Following his cooperation with ‘Media Studios Recording’, Sam established his own studio, ‘Cellar Rock Studio’ in 1997 and was therefore able to experiment with sounds and to seek a new route for his music, which complimented better his particular taste and style in music. As a result of the creative freedom he enjoyed by running his own studio, Sam became Nr. 1 in the English club chart with the 1999 instrumental composition ‘Zoe’ under the nickname ‘PAGANINI TRAXX’. This record was highly rated and considered to be one of the best Italian records coming from the specialized press. ‘Zoe’ became a Classic Techno-Progressive Hit, where championed by the likes os Sasha, John Digweed, Paul Oakenfold, was released all over Europe by Sony and was later remixed by TIMO MAAS. In 2000 another club hit in Belgium and France called "Reaching Out". From 2000 and onwards, Sam remixes for ELISA (Happiness Is Home), PEPLAB (Wondergirl), LOU REED and VANESSA ST.JAMES (Sunday Morning) DAVID MORALES and DJ PIERRE (Make It Hot), in 2005 released for Southern Fried rec. "Rockstar" under SAMY's nick name but he never gave up on his passion for live music and carried on playing the drums in various Rock Bands. Presently, Sam expresses his passion for music by taking part in a wide variety of music-related activities.
